Despite the ongoing crypto winter that has had an impact on NFT sales, global brands continue to build real estate inside of the Metaverse. This week, luxury brand Moncler entered into an exclusive partnership with French Web3 platform Arianee. The partnership will see Moncler issue NFTs to customers as well as to visitors to Moncler’s Extraordinary Expedition event in New York.
The entry into the Metaverse and utilization of NFTs have been a common theme in the fashion industry over the past year. Global brands already invested in the Metaverse include Adidas, Nike (NYSE: NKE), Under Armour (NYSE: UA), Gucci, SFLMaven (OTC: SFLM), and Louis Vuitton (OTC: LVMUY).
SFLMaven recently announced the launch of its second line of NFTs in the Decentraland Metaverse. It is also working on developing a new novel technology that displays the value of an NFT along with the avatar in any Metaverse environment. SLFMaven started as a vintage jewelry store on eBay that still does over $1 million in sales each month. SFLMaven’s next line of NFTs is believed to be launching in Decentraland in the new year.
