How the buzz score works. We blend three free public signals for every micro and small-cap name in our universe: StockTwits message volume over the last 7 days (social chatter), recent news mentions (media attention), and the latest session volume versus the 20-day average (trading attention). Each is normalized and combined into a single 0 to 100 score, weighted toward social chatter. StockTwits caps returned messages at 30, so the busiest names show 30+ and are separated by their news and volume signals.
Attention, not a signal. A high buzz score means people are talking and trading, not that a stock is a good investment. Chatter can be organic or promotional, and attention often comes with volatility and risk. We exclude our sponsored clients from this list, but inclusion here is never an endorsement.
